Active Desktop Calendar is a fully customizable calendar with notes, tasks, alarms and contacts. It has an attractive and easy to use interface which allows users to handle the program easily. All your data can be organized in layers and shared with other people on a local area network. There's a menu bar that contains the Data, View, Notes, Tasks, Contacts and Help menus. The more important options in the Menu bar are the importing/exporting contacts and calendars in the Data menu. The program sits in your system tray and you can control everything from there. You can create notes and set alarms by days and at user defined hours just by double-clicking the calendar day. There are options for changing calendar icons, fonts and colors. What is more, you can also print calendar data. You are also allowed to import contacts from Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Address Book. Finally, Active Desktop Calendar includes a world clock screensaver that shows your computer's system time, with five major time zones around the world.
